Chad A. Melcher AAMS®

Chad has been with Intrinsic Investors since 2005. He supports clients by combining comprehensive financial planning, disciplined investment management, and a strong commitment to exceptional service. Known for his attention to detail, analytical approach, and dedication to following through, Chad guides clients toward confident financial decisions.

Chad's path to wealth management wasn't a straight line, and that's part of what makes him effective. After earning a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from UW–Madison, Chad spent several years in manufacturing, where he developed a problem-solving mindset and process-oriented thinking that shapes his approach today. A lifelong interest in investing and personal finance—sparked by purchasing his first mutual fund as a teenager—ultimately inspired a career change. He earned a M.S. in Management-Finance Analysis from UW–Milwaukee and the Accredited Asset Management Specialist® (AAMS®) designation to enhance his expertise in portfolio construction and investment management.

What Chad enjoys most is helping people make progress toward the future they’ve imagined for themselves. Whether someone is preparing for retirement, building long-term wealth, or making an important financial decision, he takes the time to listen and understand their goals before providing thoughtful, personalized guidance. Chad believes that strong relationships, objective advice, and paying attention to the details are crucial to achieving lasting results.

Outside the office, Chad enjoys spending time with family and friends. He can often be found skiing in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, paddle boarding on area lakes, or cheering on Wisconsin sports teams. He is also an avid follower of Serie A and Premier League soccer.
